The PositionResponsible for developing and executing high impact policy positions and Government Affairs programs, aimed at ensuring a favorable business environment for in the OPU.
Understands the external political environment and potential governmental developments.
Supports the business in developing a strong corporate affairs presence and strategy to help ensure an environment where patients have access to medicines, now and in the future.
- Duties & Responsibilities
Monitor and analyze political and legislative developments, including government health policies, and assess the possible impact on business and reputation, providing insight and counsel in key business planning decisions.
- Direct, devise and execute strategic plans to leverage or mitigate upcoming changes and trends. Promote business goals through thought leadership and structured advocacy.
Enhance visibility and give a prominent voice with policy makers.- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key policy stakeholders to advance business goals and further develop reputation as a credible and respected voice in the life sciences sector.
Lead advocacy outreach to relevant politicians and parliamentary groups, being the initial face of the organization with these individuals.
- Lead the response to relevant Government consultations on behalf of the business to help articulate and implement policy positions.
Lead, manage and co-ordinate engagement with relevant trade associations. Actively participate in relevant groups.- Instigate, develop, and drive approval of all relevant letters, documents, positioning papers, slides etc (approval process) (with agency support where appropriate).
