Description
The Global Tax Officer role is responsible for assisting the tax team in managing direct tax and indirect tax activities for the Nuix group. The Global Tax Officer will be part of a tax team that works closely with business partners and members of the tax team to ensure the Group is well-positioned in all tax matters, including compliance, reporting, advisory, planning, etc., in all of the Group's operating jurisdictions.
Key Responsibilities
Directly report to Group Tax Manager based in Australia.
Prepare tax returns for income tax and indirect taxes including value-added tax, GST, PAYG, FBT, withholding tax, etc.
Prepare jurisdictional and consolidated tax provision calculations.
Assist in preparing tax-related disclosures as part of the preparation of the Group's financial statements.
Assist in transfer pricing calculations and updating transfer pricing documentations.
Assist with ad-hoc projects to provide tax supports to the broader finance team and the business.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a relevant field from a recognized and approved program.
A minimum of five years experience in taxation and tax accounting, with big 4 tax compliance and consulting experience being highly desirable.
Has experience in global tax matters (such as Australia, North Americas, EMEA and APAC).
Strong attention to details and ability to effectively manage competing priorities.
Strong communication skills in English.
