The Category Manager will be in charge of sourcing for IT and Indirect Categories, for our 34 Terminals, globally.
The role will involve:
- Defining a Sourcing Strategy to support our growth plan while ensuring reliability of supplies.
- Taking part in defining and writing specifications with internal customers in order to translate the technical requirements into the tender documents.
- Conducting at a global-level the call for tenders, negotiations and contracting.
- Monitoring on a monthly basis the performance level of all our suppliers in coordination with our Terminal Procurement Managers and conduct Quarterly Business Performance reviews.
- Identifying cost savings opportunity and ensuring their operational roll-out in coordination with the Terminals.
- Acting as the sparring partner for the Global IT function.
You will ensure at all times that ICTSI Procurement policies and guidelines are enforced and you will support, when needed, internal and external audits, including on Sustainability.
YOUR PROFILE
- You are an Engineering or Business school graduate, ideally with Purchasing specialization, with 5 to 8 years of experience in Category Management, in an international industrial or port management setting.
- You are a strong negotiator
- You are recognized for your excellent communication skills (both oral and written), your team and persuasive spirit.
- You are responsive and open to change, ready to implement actions to improve our service level to our Terminals.
- You are self-driven, you are committed and focused on results. Your experience, curiosity and creativity allow you to establish yourself in complex environments.
- You are fluent in the English language.
- You have a good knowledge of IT tools and you are able to travel as required to visit our Terminals operations and our suppliers.
