Your primary responsibility will be to plan and perform operational and financial audits, identify business process risks, develop testing methodologies to evaluate the adequacy of controls, document the results of evaluations, and develop recommendations and reports based on audits to present to senior management. Beyond Standard: Your Qualifications Redefined

• Lead negotiations with shipping carriers to secure favorable freight rates across sea, air, and land transportation modes. Analyze market trends, carrier capacities, and demand forecasts to strategically negotiate, optimizing costs without compromising service quality.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with carriers, negotiate and manage contracts to ensure compliance with terms and conditions. Monitor contract performance, identify improvement areas, and renegotiate terms as necessary to adapt to changing business needs and market conditions.
• Implement strategies to minimize shipping costs while maximizing efficiency and reliability. Evaluate alternative routing options, consolidation opportunities, and freight optimization techniques to achieve cost savings without sacrificing delivery timelines or quality standards.
• Identify potential risks and supply chain disruptions, such as capacity constraints, regulatory changes, or geopolitical factors. Develop contingency plans to mitigate risks and stay informed about industry developments to maintain operational resilience.
• Utilize data analytics tools to analyze shipping data, track key performance indicators, and identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings. Generate reports and dashboards to communicate insights and recommendations to stakeholders, facilitating informed decision-making.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including procurement, logistics, and operations, to align shipping strategies with business objectives. Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, providing timely updates on shipping activities, performance metrics, and cost-saving initiatives.

Credentials That Speak Volumes: Your Qualifications

• At least 5 years of relevant working experience as a Logistics Manager, knowledgeable in Procurement
• Fleet/freight experience is a must
• Proven experience in freight rate negotiation and contract management, preferably in a global shipping environment
• Deep understanding of international shipping regulations, international commercial terms, and customs procedures
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret shipping data and financial metrics
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence stakeholders at all levels
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, data analysis tools, and transportation management systems
• Strategic mindset with the ability to think critically and develop innovative solutions to complex logistical challenges
• Additional Requirements:
• Willingness to travel occasionally for meetings, industry events, or supplier visits
• Flexibility to work across different time zones to accommodate global business operations
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality results in a fast-paced environment
