We are looking for a
GIS Staff who is responsible for managing, analyzing, and interpreting spatial data using Geographic Information System (GIS) technology. This role involves working with GIS software, creating and maintaining spatial databases, generating maps and decision-making processes.
Regularly review the materials for incoming projects.
- Thoroughly examine the specifications of each project before commencing work.
Continuously seek clarification on any project aspects that are unclear.- Ensure operations are conducted within the allocated budget.
Monitor the status of projects daily, including tracking and comparing hours spent against the budget.
- Ensure adherence to specifications through close monitoring and random checks.
Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the overall project status.- Promptly report any relevant project information to the immediate superior to facilitate timely countermeasures.
Provide ongoing feedback on errors found in data or projects.
- Be mindful of deadlines and ensure that product quality requirements are met.
Share responsibilities with the immediate supervisor.- Oversee staff compliance with company policies and report any issues to the Department Manager or HRD Officer.
Train and mentor department members, sharing knowledge effectively.
- Report any incidents involving subordinates to the immediate superior.
Regularly assess the performance of contract staff under supervision.- Accurately and diligently input data.
Perform other related tasks as assigned by the immediate superior.
Bachelor's degree in Geography, GIS, Geomatics, Computer Science, Environmental Science, or at least college level or any related course.
- Preferably with 6 months experience working in any related industry.
Proven experience in database management and data analysis.- Proficient in oral and written communication.
Demonstrates leadership abilities.
- Experienced in records and file management.
Skilled in GIS mapping software.- Proficient with computer operations.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Can work under pressure and minimal supervision.
