We are seeking a highly organized and proactive General Manager to join our team in the Philippines. This role is pivotal in ensuring the smooth operation of our business in the Philippines.
Who You'll Work With:
You will report to the Australian based CEO, with your team's members including functions ranging marketing and sales, customer success, people and culture, and finance.
Role Summary:
The General Manager at Adaca will be responsible for overseeing all departments, managing all personnel, and playing a crucial role in employee retention and relations. This position requires a dynamic leader with a strategic mindset, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to foster a positive work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Drive overall business strategy and execution- Analyze market trends and identify growth opportunities
Manage budgets and financial objectives
Oversee and coordinate all departmental activities- Ensure operational efficiency and effectiveness
Implement and improve processes specific to software development
Lead and develop all employees, fostering a positive workplace culture- Oversee hiring, training, and development programs
Implement retention strategies and address employee concerns
- Performance and Quality Management:
Establish and monitor performance metrics for staff and departments- Ensure high-quality software development output
Provide feedback and recognition to drive employee performance
- Client and Stakeholder Relations:
Manage key client relationships and business development efforts- Oversee vendor and partnership management
Maintain effective communication with the parent company
- Compliance and Risk Management:
Ensure compliance with legal regulations and company policies- Identify and mitigate potential risks
Lead crisis management efforts when necessary
- Technology and Innovation:
Stay abreast of technological trends- Guide the company's technical direction
Foster innovation in software development practices
- Cross-cultural Leadership:
Navigate cultural differences between the subsidiary and parent company- Manage the company's impact on the local community
Requirements:- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field; MBA preferred.
Minimum 5years of experience in software development industry, with at least 5 years in a senior management role.
- Proven track record of successfully leading and growing a software development or IT services company.
Strong understanding of software development methodologies and best practices.- Familiarity with current and emerging technologies in the software industry.
Experience with project management and collaboration tools.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute business strategies.
Strong financial management skills, including budgeting and forecasting.- Experience in client relationship management and business development.
Proven ability to lead and motivate large, diverse teams.
- Experience in performance management and talent development.
Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
