Purpose
The General Accounting Analyst performs the timely and accurate record keeping of the general accounting related deliverables which includes, but not limited to Treasury Accounting, Fixed Asset Accounting, Lease Accounting, Period-end closing, Financial Reporting, Account Reconciliation, Tax and Statutory reporting, in accordance with agreed service level agreement.
Responsibilities
Prepares daily bank reconciliation, weekly bank summary and liquidity report, and weekly cashflow report.
Reconciles Fixed Assets addition to ensure that all capitalizable assets will be registered in the system
Registers fixed assets additions in the system, performs the following monthly activities like depreciation run, prepares entry for disposal and transfers (between in-region entities), and maintains fixed asset register/ lapsing schedule
Performs cash receipts allocation in Receivable module
Prepares month-end journals: prepayments amortization, accrual, cost reallocation, manual reclassification, and OH adjustments, intercompany accruals, among others;
Performs monthly VAT validation and reconciliation
Prepares and maintain non critical account reconciliation and ensures that relevant schedules and analyses are available monthly;
Assists in quarterly Intercompany reconciliation in Onestream
Assists in quarterly Financial Package in Onestream with complete appendices/disclosures;
Prepares process documentation and flowcharts
Provides audit requirements during interim and year-end financial audit;
Support the General Accounting Specialist and General Accounting Manager I in ensuring the overall success of the project and/or achieving SLA and KPI targets set for the team.
Detailed instructions are provided by General Accounting Specialist and/or General Accounting Manager I for more complex assignments to include but limited to streamlining of processes, reduction of errors and enhance productivity
Qualifications
Bachelor's/College Degree, major in Accountancy is required, CPA is an advantage
1 to 2 years of relevant working experience in financial/ general accounting, audit;
Exposure in Shared service or Multinational environment is an advantage
Experience in ERP systems is preferred Version Date 2
Proficient in Microsoft applications is required
