General Accountant

Job Title: General Accountant (Consultancy-Based Agreement)

Job Overview:

We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced General Accountant to manage our financial records, ensure compliance with accounting principles, and provide insightful financial analysis. This role is ideal for a consultant with strong analytical skills and a proactive approach to financial management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using Xero.
• Prepare and review financial statements and reports.
• Process payroll accurately and on time
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable.
• Reconcile bank statements and resolve discrepancies.
• Provide financial insights and recommendations to support business decisions.
• Collaborate with the stakeholders for seamless operations

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Proven experience as a General Accountant or similar role.
• Proficiency in Xero accounting software
• Strong knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll processes
• Experience working with Australian clients is preferred
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Background in a recruitment agency is a plus
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
