Job SummaryThe General Accountant will play a key role in the financial management of our company by assisting in various aspects of accounting, financial reporting, and compliance. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with different teams.
Prepare and review General Ledger (GL) schedules including Balance Sheet and Profit & Loss (P&L) schedules to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data.
- Assist in bank and book reconciliations, identifying and resolving discrepancies as needed.
Provide support for external audit requirements by preparing documentation and assisting auditors during the audit process.- Assist in the preparation of financial statements (FS), ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
Prepare and monitor taxes, particularly those required by the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR), ensuring timely and accurate submission.
- Provide assistance in Accounts Payable (A/P) and Accounts Receivable (A/R) transactions, especially during team member absences or emergencies, to ensure continuity of operations.
Monitor and ensure compliance with taxes, regulatory, and statutory requirements imposed by various government agencies such as BIR, SEC, LGU, SSS, PHIC, HDMF, CHED, PRC, BOI, and Banks.- Collaborate with other departments to gather necessary financial information and ensure compliance with regulatory and statutory requirements.
Requirement- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA certification is a plus.
Proven experience in financial analysis, accounting, or related roles.- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Attention to detail and accuracy in financial data analysis.- Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Knowledge of tax laws and regulatory requirements is preferred.
