General Accountant

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced General Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the financial operations of our organization and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations.

• Main Tasks & Responsibilities:

Prepare financial statements, budgets, and forecasts, and ensure timely and accurate reporting of financial results.

• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable, including processing invoices, issuing payments, and collecting payments from customers.

Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations, including tax regulations and GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).

• Monitor cash flow and manage cash balances, including preparing cash flow projections and analyzing cash needs.

Manage payroll and employee benefits, including processing payroll and maintaining employee records.

• Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to ensure the efficient and effective operation of the finance department.

Analyze financial data and provide recommendations to management regarding financial performance and opportunities for improvement.

• Provide support to other departments regarding financial matters and assist with financial audits.

• Requirements and skills

Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in finance, accounting, or a related field.

Strong knowledge of accounting principles and regulations, including tax regulations and GAAP.

• Experience with financial software and related tools, including QuickBooks, Excel, and other accounting software.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex financial issues.

Attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting and analysis.

• Experience in a non-profit organization or government agency preferred.
