Job Description

Summary:

Responsible for supporting the Accounts Receivable/Collection functions ensuring all contract compliance requirements are completed, proper accounting of contract reconciliations, and collection of outstanding receivables. Also responsible for handling routine outbound/inbound call and e-mail correspondence at any stage of delinquency, up to and including pre-charge off and the recovery area.

Job Scope:


A. Accounts Receivable and Collections Support

Maintains spreadsheets regarding fees for accounting purposes
Tracks, monitors, and follows up on aging accounts receivables
Liaises with concerned department to reconcile any issues
Contacts internal and external clients to discuss outstanding fees
Ensures client contract compliance and invoice review
Acts as a liaison for clients
Answers inquiries and resolves issues
Generates monthly Accounts Receivable report
Submits extension requests and other loss and mitigation activities
Works with customers to establish full balance settlements or payment plans
Solves routine to more complex billing problems and inquiries
Documents collection call made regardless if it's successful or unsuccessful

B. Business Process Support

Adheres to Crawford's standard operating procedures (SOP) and turnaround time
Refers matters beyond limits of authority and expertise to immediate superior for direction
Upholds the Crawford Code of Conduct by protecting the confidentiality of information
Performs other related tasks as required or needed

Functional Knowledge:

Bachelor's degree in any related course
One (1) to two (2) years work experience in a clerical/support role or in a corporate accounting or billing department
Excellent verbal communication
Active listening and phone handling skills
Knowledgeable of business etiquette across various correspondence
Proficient in Microsoft Office word processing and spreadsheet
Conflict Resolution - Ability to persuade and negotiate with clients
Ability to control and respond quickly to a stressful/difficult situation
Customer service focus
Demonstrated ability to work in a fast paced environment
Maintains high degree of professionalism and confidentiality
Ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage time effectively
Interpersonal skills - Able to work independently and as a team member
Keen attention to details
