Fundraising Assistant

Position Summary
The Fundraising Assistant is responsible for raising funds and mobilizing resources through forging of partnerships with the government and private entities, acquisition of individual and institutional donors, utilization of digital fundraising platforms, merchandise selling, and other methodologies that will contribute to the fundraising initiatives of the organization.
Essential Responsibilities
- Assist in planning fundraising campaigns and events.
- Maintain donor records on the Donor Management Software.
- Provide excellent donor support and craft appropriate donor care strategies.
- Reach out to potential donors via phone calls.
- Research on prospective individual and corporate donors.
- Help devise fundraising strategies to attract major donors.
- Spread awareness about our sponsorship programs to potential sponsors and
businesses.
- Engage the public in supporting community development projects.
- Handle communications regarding fundraising efforts as appropriate.
- Set-up and manage fundraising booths in strategic areas like prominent malls.
- Help deliver and collect coin banks and donation boxes from partner locations like
schools, malls, and supermarkets.
- Count proceeds from coin banks and donation boxes as assigned.
- Support the fundraising team in various resource mobilization efforts.
- Perform any other fundraising-related tasks as may be reasonably requested by
management.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in marketing, communications, public relations or other related
fields.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and sales skills.
- 2-3 years of work experience in fundraising, marketing, or customer service
- Background in banking or insurance telesales and after sales management
preferred.
- Willing to be stationed in prominent malls and other strategic areas as necessary.
- Willing to work on weekends and holidays as and when required.
