Job Title: FOH Bartender- Job Summary: The FOH Bartender plays a crucial role in delivering exceptional hospitality and creating memorable experiences for guests through the preparation and serving of beverages. This position requires a blend of creativity, technical skill, and customer service expertise to ensure the bar operates efficiently and guests receive high-quality service.
Beverage Preparation:
- Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, including cocktails, beer, wine, and specialty drinks, according to established recipes and guest preferences.
Ensure beverages are prepared promptly and accurately, maintaining high standards of presentation and quality.
Greet guests warmly, engage in conversation, and provide recommendations on drinks based on preferences and menu offerings.- Anticipate guest needs and respond promptly to requests, ensuring a positive and enjoyable experience.
Bar Operations:- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including bar tops, sinks, and equipment.
Monitor inventory levels of beverages, garnishes, and supplies; requisition stock as needed to ensure adequate levels are maintained.Safety and Compliance:
Adhere to all applicable food safety, sanitation, and alcohol beverage control policies.
- Ensure responsible alcohol service by verifying legal drinking age, refusing service to intoxicated guests, and complying with local laws and regulations.
Teamwork and Collaboration:
- Collaborate with servers, kitchen staff, and other bartenders to ensure smooth operation of the dining area and bar.
Assist with training and mentoring new bartenders and barbacks as needed.
- Upselling and Revenue Generation:
Promote specials, events, and promotions to maximize sales opportunities.- Upsell premium beverages and suggest food pairings to enhance the guest experience and increase revenue.
- Skills and Qualifications:
Proven experience as a bartender in a fast-paced restaurant or bar environment.- Extensive knowledge of beverage preparation techniques, including mixing cocktails, pouring drafts, and serving wine.
Strong customer service skills with a friendly and outgoing personality.
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.- Attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
TIPS or similar certification for responsible alcohol service (preferred).
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy trays of beverages and supplies.
Manual dexterity for preparing drinks and operating bar equipment.
