Job Description

I. JOB OBJECTIVE (JO)

Attain effective front end and cashiering operations of the store thru fast and efficient check out service at the counter to all Landers Members.

Supervises and coordinates Front End activities which includes handling member requests, training cashiers, implementing front end policies, assessing cashiers performance and scheduling.
  • II. MANAGEMENT PERFORMANCE AREAS (MPA)
  • Planning

  • Ensure Front end KPIs are achieved such as Cashiers scanning rate, Cashier shortages and overages, member queuing at the check out and members complaints.

  • Develops course of actions to achieve excellence in Member service and efficiency.
  • Leading

  • Motivates and guide all FE Supervisors and cashiers to provide best member service experience to members.

  • Conducts regular PEP talk and huddle meeting before shift starts

  • Makes sound and prompt decisions and ability to take responsibility for the actions undertaken.

  • Ensure annual performance appraisal of all employees under his department
  • Organizing

  • Delegates or assigns appropriate responsibilities to subordinates to achieve desired outcomes

  • Consolidates efforts of the component functions of assigned task and harmoniously fits assignment with other components into an integrated company effort.
  • Controlling

  • Assess and evaluates KPI versus the agreed & desired objectives in order to evaluate proper course of actions to meet the changing demands of new situations.
  • III. KEY RESULT AREAS (KRA)
  • A. Front End Management Function

  • Maintain a neat, well-groomed personal appearance at all times and observe company dress regulations;

  • Observe shift operating hours at all times as scheduled or assigned by store manager;

  • Promote member good will by providing high standards of member service;

  • Maintain effective work schedules for front end personnel to meet business volume and traffic requirements; minimize customer inconvenience and excessive waiting periods;

  • Ensure that cashiers are assisted with price checks in a prompt and timely manner;

  • Keep store management informed of pricing problem areas or items that are not on file in front end computers or POS system

  • Inform store management promptly of cash register or scale problems/malfunctions;

  • Assist FE Supervisors and customers with refunds, overrings and other transactions requiring supervisory approvals or overrides;

  • Manages cash pickups or cash drops and change orders

  • Process all of the various types of sales transactions accepted by the store including but not necessarily limited to EFT transactions, GC, etc. in strict accordance with established company policies and procedures including full compliance to company standards;

  • Monitors MPU and high value item safekeeping and storage.

  • Ensure proper bagging procedures by front end personnel including carryout service of all member purchases to their respective vehicles;

  • Order and control inventory of all front end supplies including proper replenishment, as required, in the checkstands;

  • Assign stocking duties to front end personnel during idle periods;

  • Ensure that return-to-stock items are handled in a prompt and orderly manner with the most immediate attention given to refrigerated and other perishable items

  • Comply with safety policies and procedures;

  • Perform other duties and assignments as directed;

  • Greet all customers and provide them with prompt and courteous service or assistance.
  • B. Cashiering Operation Function

  • Ring all sales into cash register in accordance with Company cash handling procedures;

  • Verify all customer Ids presented and observe store policies pertaining to the acceptance of Credit Cards and PWD / SC discount cards

  • Notify management promptly of any irregularities or discrepancies in the operating results of any applicable work shift if cash variations exceed (or the level that has been established by management );

  • Record pricing errors or discrepancies and notify management promptly;

  • Assist in conducting shelf price audits as prescribed by management;
  • C. Merchandising Functions

  • Ensure that all front end personnel keep their assigned sections fully stocked and faced to the maximum extent possible according to COC display standards;

  • Assist in building front end displays for maximum appeal and suggestive selling; ensure that all front end displays are properly signed or the items priced, as applicable;

  • Keep front end as clear and uncluttered as possible to provide maximum eye appeal and member checkout efficiency.
  • D. Maintenance Functions

  • Maintain general housekeeping and sanitation standards in compliance with store policy

  • Assist in keeping all checkout, sales and storage areas clean, clear and in good order;

  • Inspect sales floor areas hourly during shift hours to ensure that floor is kept free of potential safety hazards such as spills and broken glass or plastic containers that contain liquid products; call for immediate cleanup as required;

  • Ensure that all cash registers and other equipment are in good working order; immediately advise store manager and IT of any maintenance or equipment problems.
  • F. Personnel

  • Supervise and schedule activities of front end personnel to ensure consistent application of courtesy and service to customers;

  • Conduct training programs to ensure accuracy and compliance with procedures;

  • Review performance standards and conduct checking accuracy audits of front end personnel on a regular basis;

  • Be observant and alert at all times and enforce store policies as they relate to front end operations, assist management with discipline of front end associates who fail to abide by front end policies and procedures
  • IV. JOB QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
  • Educational Background: College Graduate preferably in Business or Communication.
  • Work Experience: At least 10 years experienced in FMCG or Retail or Mall

At least 5 years experience as Front End or Business Manager

Must know how to communicate and written skills in English.

Must know how to operate MS Office operations-Word, Excel, Pivot, Power Points.

Must know how to use JDE or SAP and POS

Experienced to lead over 100 manpowers.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From Php32,000.00 per month
