We are seeking experienced and hardworking Business Development Managers to join our team. The ideal candidate will have previous experience working in a customer-service oriented environment and will be capable of generating new business and working with clients directly. The right candidate will recognise and seize new opportunities when they present themselves, and will have the ability to conduct successful interviews with prospective clients.
Responsibilities:
- To prospect new customers and market opportunities, monitor competitive activities, and position the company to capitalise on all options.
To research the country's logistics and supply chain landscape and develop a strategic business plan.- To execute the approved business plan base on the market requirement and sentiment.
To put in place OKRs and KPIs to measure against the business plan.
- To achieve the quarterly and annual set revenue goals, profit, and market share.
To work with HQ to develop marketing and brand awareness strategy to create brand consistent across the region.- To run marketing campaign maximizing sales target and develop new business and products for the domestic and international market.
To expand proven solutions and service offerings to new branches across the entire country.
- To leverage HQ existing product lines and develop new product lines if required to complement existing business to create a new revenue stream.
To identify areas of growth in the following sectors: (a) 3PL Business, (b) Manufacturing and Electronics, (c) Aviation & Aerospace, (d) Biotechnology & Pharmaceuticals, (e) Automotive, (f) Cold Chain, (g) Energy & Industrial- To attain a goal of securing business for
- 5 times of the annual operating expenses for the inaugural twelve months of operation.
To report New Sales Pipeline during biweekly Sales Meeting.
- To achieve 16 monthly prospective customers converted from leads generated.
To Increase communication and coordination between Sales and Operations to attain a high-quality customer experience.- To confer with customers to resolve problems and develop new incremental business.
To promote network building, trade lanes development, and two-way traffic expansion with overseas partners.
- To commit 90% time to business development and 10% to administration work.
To select carriers for transportation and negotiate rates and contracts with carriers. Alternatively, obtain AWB stocks through business partners who already have preferred rate agreements with carriers.- To liaise and negotiate with suppliers, vendors, etc., for cost reduction.
To carry out any other duties as assigned by the Managing Director, including adhoc deployment for projects.
