As an FP&A Accountant, you will play a crucial role in the financial planning and analysis function of our organization. Your primary responsibilities will include preparing accurate monthly management reporting packs (multiple entities). You will be instrumental in finalizing monthly Revenue and billing. posting monthly P&L journal, finalizing the P& L including providing budget vs actual variances and commentary and preparing cashflow forecasts.

Responsibilities:
- Annual Budget Preparation: Develop annual budgets and financial forecasts for portfolio companies in collaboration with Project Managers and Business Partners.
- Financial Forecasting: Conduct ongoing financial forecasting to support strategic planning and decision-making.
- Business Planning: Create comprehensive Business Plans for the Group, aligning with strategic goals and financial targets.
- System Upload: Input and manage the annual budget in the accounting system to ensure accurate tracking and reporting.
- Performance Analysis: Analyze and compare budgeted financial performance against actual results for Profit Centers and Cost Centers, identifying variances and providing actionable insights.
- Cashflow Preparation: Prepare and manage cashflow forecasts to ensure optimal liquidity and financial stability.
- Monthly Accruals: Process monthly accruals to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance.
- Reporting: Generate regular financial reports and analyses to provide insights into financial performance and support strategic initiatives.
- Team Leadership: Offer guidance and support to other team members as required, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
- Ad Hoc Tasks: Perform additional tasks and projects as assigned by the FP&A Lead and Financial Controller, demonstrating flexibility and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science in Accounting Technology, Accountancy, or related field.
- CPA preferred but not required.
- 2-3 years of general accounting experience in an Australian company/client is preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Experience with accounting software such as Power BI, Oracle, Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks, etc.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
