Fire Alarm Technician Duties
- Install and inspect fire alarm systems
Test fire alarm systems to ensure they are in proper working order- Troubleshoot and repair problems with fire alarm systems
Conduct routine maintenance on fire alarm systems
- Program fire alarm systems using software
Keep accurate records of all fire alarm system inspections and repairs- Provide training to customers on fire alarm systems
Fire Alarm Technician Skills- Ability to read and interpret schematics and wiring diagrams
Ability to troubleshoot and repair fire alarms
- Knowledge of fire safety codes and standards
Knowledge of electrical theory and wiring techniques- Ability to install and maintain fire alarm systems
Fire Alarm Technician Requirements- Must have certification in fire alarm systems
Ability to troubleshoot and repair fire alarm systems
- Knowledge of applicable fire codes and standards
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics- Knowledge of electrical systems and equipment
