Job Purpose
To spearhead accounting projects, system enhancements and project improvements to comply with accounting standards, regulatory and management reporting requirements.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Leads the implementation of IFRS 17 accounting standards
- Performs and document process of data gathering and integration with IFRS 17 system.
- Performs UAT for IFRS 17 calculations and do parallel runs.
- Ensures that results are compliant with the prescribed accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
- Conducts knowledge sharing and processes with the financial reporting team
- Implements the IRR KPIs. Validate target achievements, combined ratio rating and collection efficiency. Work closely with financial reporting team to ensure accuracy and reasonableness of IRR results.
- Management of Budget system
- Develops process improvements for accounting.
- Assists financial reporting on the external audit and preparation of annual statements.
- Performs process review and testing of accounting projects that may be required from time to time.
Qualifications
- Graduate of Bachelor of Science in Accountancy, a CPA
- Minimum of 3 years work experience preferably in accounting firms
- Preferably with background in IFRS 17 accounting standards
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft oice
- Keen to details and analytical
