Financial Reporting Accountant CPA (Marine Shipping)Job Description
Responsible for ensuring the correctness of entries are summarized and recorded in the books of accounts, subsidiary ledgers and compliance to all regulatory and management reports of the company.
Duties & Responsibilities Operational
- Prepare monthly journal vouchers for financial statements purposes.
Ensure that all aspects of financial management are in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles and existing company policies and procedures.- Provide financial information by researching and analyzing accounting data.
Perform the monthly-end closing activities and assist in the preparation of management reports.
- Prepare monthly financial reports for submission to Cyprus office.
Prepare semi-monthly and monthly bank reconciliation.- Reconcile assigned balance sheet accounts.
Prepare schedules and analysis of account balances for various accounts, including year-end audit schedules.
- Prepare computation of quarterly corporate income tax.
Interact with internal and external auditors in completing audits.- Monitor timely government reportorial requirements (i.e. BIR, SEC, BOI).
Assist in compliance of other statutory requirements (i.e. Municipal City Hall) Others
- Prepare reports and other tasks that may be assigned and required from time to time.
At least 4 years of experience in general accounting.- Graduate of BS Accountancy
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is an advantage
Proficient in computer applications
Excellent analytical skills- Good in written and oral communication
Possess good leadership qualities, self-motivated, result and goal oriented
