The Financial Planning & Analysis Manager is focused on leveraging NetSuite and Workiva to support financial planning, analysis, and reporting. This role will be responsible for financial planning, analysis, budgeting, and providing strategic insights to support decision-making across the organization. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, experience with financial software, and the ability to communicate financial insights effectively.
Job Description:
Prepare and present monthly management reports, including headcount and expense analysis utilizing Workiva to automate and streamline the reporting process.
Perform monthly variance analysis to compare actual results to budget, identifying key drivers and trends
Create an annual budget using NetSuite (company has $80m/annual expense among 10 departments)
Work with department heads to provide insight to monthly reports (department structure and coding already set up).
Present financial analysis and recommendations to senior management for making informed decision-making.
Team up with the accounting group as part of the monthly review process, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial data.
Assist with vendor management, conducting vendor analysis, and planning for vendor spend to optimize costs.
Support management of insurance policies, ensuring adequate coverage and cost-effectiveness.
Provide forecasting support to Director of Finance.
Regularly communicate with internal stakeholders to provide financial insights and support decision-making processes.
Required Qualifications:
Strong financial reporting skills with ability to compile and create detailed management packs for comprehensive financial reporting.
Ability to lead and mentor a team of analysts, oversee departmental goals, and contribute to strategic financial planning and decision-making.
Strong analytical mindset of interpreting complex financial data accurately.
Meticulous attention to detail in financial modeling, forecasting, and variance analysis, ensuring accuracy and reliability in reporting
Clear and coherent in both written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex financial information effectively.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment, ensuring collaborative efforts contribute to organizational goals effectively.
Desired Qualifications:
Familiarity with NetSuite, Workiva, or other budgeting systems is a plus.
Screening Criteria:
Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field.
Minimum of five (5) years of progressive experience in FP&A, financial analysis, or related roles.
At least two (2) years of supervisory or leadership experience.
Must have a stable employment history
