FINANCILA MODELER (FOR BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT)
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Creates and maintain a financial model for the new businesses for the company for short, medium and long-term planning and for valuation purposes.
2. Update the models, as needed
a. to reflect latest economic, technical and financial assumptions
b. to support the fund-raising both for Maynilad and parent company
c. to reflect latest audited financial statements
3. Develop and update the Revenue Framework for the Business Areas for annual budgeting purposes.
4. Plans, organizes, leads and supervises projects for Business Development.
5. Manages the operational and financial activities of the Section to include budget and business goals.
6. Participates in the development of and communication of company policies and guidelines to direct reports for implementation.
7. Assesses the market and provides water and wastewater solutions to potential clients.
8. Collaborates and consults with business unit leaders and managers on strategic and tactical information systems plans designed to meet their business objectives.
9. Develops growth plans for a specific target market (e.g. all regions including Asia Pacific region) and oversees all activities related to expansion and business development (BD).
10. Provides oversight in the production of feasibility studies and accomplishes all other preparations before due diligence including, but not limited to, the collection of commercial data and technical measurements, acquisition of permits and water rights, and the review of legal documents.
11. Initiates the integration of all due diligence reports for a single BD project in coordination with the technical, financial and legal professionals and provide recommendations based on growth potential, risks and viability.
12. Develops full proposals for BD engagements which should contain the project's financial analyses, capital expenditure (CAPEX) and operating expenditure (OPEX) recommendations, and tariff applications
13. Negotiates with authorities, partners and clients for the successful implementation of BD projects.
14. Accomplishes the necessary turnover preparations to execute the contract and delegates operations to initiate and sustain the newly acquired BD project.
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business or Finance
MBA degree is an advantage
WORK EXPERIENCE
At least eight years of relevant work experience, especially in business development
At least five years of managerial experience
Work experience in the utility or power industry is an advantage
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITIES
Has very strong business sense or financial acumen preferably with background in financial modeling
Can speak and write well for report production, presentations and negotiations
Has strong networking skills

Can work well in a team and be able to communicate effectively at all levels including with colleagues, customers, clients and government authorities
