We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and dedicated Controller to join our finance team and help manage our financial operations with precision and efficiency.
As a Controller at IMPROVLearning, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our organization adheres to industry standards and regulatory requirements. Your responsibilities will include:
Prepare and present accurate and timely financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements, and other reports as required.- Develop annual budgets, financial forecasts, and variance analyses to support strategic planning and decision-making processes.
Oversee all general ledger functions, ensuring accurate and timely recording of all financial transactions.
- Manage the accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely payments and collections.
Implement and maintain robust internal control systems to safeguard company assets and ensure the integrity of financial records.- Ensure compliance with all applicable financial regulations, including tax laws, accounting standards, and corporate policies. Coordinate and manage external audits, preparing necessary documentation and addressing auditor inquiries.
Contribute to the development and execution of the company's financial strategy, aligning financial goals with overall business objectives.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement measures to improve financial efficiency and profitability.

Work closely with other departments, such as operations, marketing, and HR, to support business initiatives and ensure financial alignment.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Professional certifications such as CPA (Certified Public Accountant), CMA (Certified Management Accountant), or ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) are highly desirable.
Minimum of 5-7 years of relevant financial experience, with at least 3 years in a managerial or supervisory role.- Experience in financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
Proven track record in financial analysis, financial modeling, and risk management.
- Experience with ERP systems and financial software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks).
Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations (e.g., GAAP, IFRS).- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel (advanced functions and data analysis).
Knowledge of financial controls, audit practices, and compliance.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide strategic insights.
Strong problem-solving abilities to identify issues and develop effective solutions.- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage and develop a finance team.
Experience in process improvement and implementation of best practices in financial management.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
Excellent interpersonal skills to work effectively with various departments and senior management.
