Job Description:
The role is accountable for IT Delivery Center Finance Controllership within Manulife Business Processing Services (MBPS) and for the maintenance of trust with our customers.
Key Responsibilities:
Invoicing Operations
- Responsible for the accurate and timely preparation, validation and issuance of project invoices pursuant to Manulife IT Delivery processes
- Monitor, report and analyze project recoverability including resource chargeability, summary of resources charges and the like based on set guidelines
- Monitor, report and analyze ageing receivables, collections, and payments
- Review of costing stipulations in Statements of Work (SOW) based on set guidelines
- Ensure collections of outstanding invoicing within SOW and/or reasonable timeline
Project Accounting
- Ensure charge-out or billing based on established charge-out model or approach
- Prepare and facilitate client cost and entity revenue accruals based on signed statements of work or PlanView details as deemed applicable
- Partner with Strategic PMO and Finance Controller on key reports
- Actively seek and execute opportunities to improve existing project accounting processes through automation or other means
- Work with Controllers on month-end closing activities as deemed necessary
Reporting
- Facilitate reconciliation of intercompany balances in view of yearly audit of financial statements of the entity
- Maintain reports related to client invoicing
- Initiate and drive PowerBI and/or Power Apps reporting projects
Qualifications:
- University Business Degree and/or recognized accounting designation; CPA preferred; Professionals with 2 to 3 years of work experience are preferred.
- General understanding of accounting principles applied in a business environment
- Hybrid Work Arrangement: Amenability and readiness to work onsite and from home anytime (dependent on business need AND/OR current external environment/situation) and must be willing to work on day shift
Minimum Skills To Hire/Must Haves:
- Intermediate Excel skills and basic understanding or experience in project management
- Strong oral/written communication skills required to interact with clients and representatives from other business units or other departments
- Able and willing to work in Quezon City post pandemic and/or as per business requirement
- With 10% travel requirement to Makati City Office or on a per-need-basis.
- Experience in PowerBI and/or PowerApps is a plus

- Keen attention to details and excellent problem solving and analytical skills
- Strong relationship management skills and experience in partnering with a diverse team located in multiple locations and time zones.
