JOB PURPOSEThe Accounting Analyst will be responsible for providing all levels of management with useful and accurate financial information on a timely basis via verbal communication or documentation by being the subject matter expert.Support the month-end accounting close process by assuring the completion of accurate journal entries, analyzing financial and non-financial results, investigating variances, and ensuring consistent and accurate data based on generally accepted accounting principles
- SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES
perform accounting processes and controls
Identify and resolve the accounting and control issues related to business and process changes
Record journal entries and ensure the accuracy of information through monthly analysis and reconciliation of assigned balance sheet accounts and analysis and variance research for the related income statement accounts
Research and reconcile assigned general ledger accounts in accordance with company policies
determine adjustments required and prepare journal entries for related account activity
Coordinate assigned reporting as required related to assigned accounts and activities
identify and resolve any issues or reconciling items related to general ledger balance sheet accounts
summarize and communicate processes and the related financial activity in a clear and concise manner
provide guidance to the Staff Accountants in all aspects of their work and assist Accounting Managers in reviewing their completed work
participate in training new staff accountants in accordance with the best practices and company standards
Provide decision support, financial analysis, internal control guidance and other support of business partners
review and monitor accounting controls to ensure accurate and timely financial records
Lead teams for process improvement and issue resolution
participate in cost reduction/improvement teams as requested
assist in the identification of other relevant issues within the department and participate in the creation of innovative solutions and/or the implementation of new procedures
- Develop, maintain and/or review reports to support analysis of income statement and balance sheet accounts
Perform other duties required.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS
a) Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field or equivalent experience
b) CPA or equivalent preferred
