Position DescriptionThe Financial Accountant is a position that primarily deals with the regular and periodic update of the company's Books of Accounts along with the ancillary processes necessary to generate periodic Financial Statements and other financial-related reports. The Financial Accountant is also responsible for Fixed Assets and Costs Accounting related concerns.
A. FINANCIAL STATEMENT MANAGEMENT
- Updates the company's Books of Accounts consistent with the Philippine Financial
Reporting Standards / Philippine Auditing Standards
- Generates the Financial Statements and other financial-related reports consistent
with the agreed set timelines, format and criteria.
- Maintains the company's Fixed Assets Lapsing Schedule and records disposals
thereof, if any.
- Prepares applicable adjusting journal entries.
- Prepares the detailed schedule of Balance Sheet and Income Statement accounts.
- Prepares the Variance Analysis.
- Prepares the monthly financial presentations to management.
B. BIR COMPLIANCE
- Monitors accounting compliance for BIR-related registrations and issuances.
- Acts as one of the team leads for the registration / accreditation on the use of a
computerized accounting system with the BIR and provide routinary coordination
with the service provider / system developer
C. OTHER COMPLIANCE
- Acts as the point person for year-end external audit examinations.
- Coordinates all tasks and activities geared at addressing relevant audit issues.
- Finalizes the auditor's examination before the set deadline.
- Provides reasonable assistance in crafting or adopting accounting / finance policies
and procedures, as so required and predicated to evolving business operations.
- Acts as one of the leads in the preparation of the yearly Budget.
- Performs other duties and tasks as may assigned from time to time.
