Tasks
We are seeking a detail-oriented and versatile Finance Operations Specialist. This role will play a crucial part in assisting both our leadership team and finance department, ensuring smooth operations across various administrative and financial functions. Your day-to-day tasks will include:
Finance Operations Support:
- Assist the Finance Operations Manager in creating monthly royalty statements
- Import and clean financial data
- Generate financial reports
- Provide customer support on finance-related inquiries
- Identify and investigate issues
Administrative Support:
- Assist the Team Lead Operations and CEO with administrative tasks
- Manage contractor payments and process invoices
- Prepare and distribute monthly reports
- Organize and maintain document filing systems
Accounting Assistance:
- Help with accounting tasks and bookkeeping
- Reconcile accounts and identify discrepancies
- Assist in preparing financial statements and reports
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in finance or accounting roles
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related field
- Proficiency in Office Software, especially Excel or Google Sheets
- Experience with financial software and databases
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Self-motivated with a proactive approach to problem-solving
- Full working proficiency in English
It's a bonus if you have:
- Knowledge of music industry royalties and licensing
- Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero)
- Familiarity with data visualization tools
- Understanding of copyright administration in the digital media landscape
- Full working proficiency in other languages, especially German
