Finance Officer is responsible for tracking a company's financial performance against a plan, analyzing business performance and market conditions to create forecasts, and helping Finance Manager make tactical and strategic decisions by providing periodic reports.
Finance Officer role requires a degree in accountancy, or business administration related degrees. A financial analyst should be very good with numbers and solving problems and be familiar with the workings of the economy, tax laws, and money markets.
Responsibilities for Finance Officer:
- Provide analytical, forecasting, reporting, and project support to Finance Department and management
Produce weekly, monthly or annual reports, which include key metrics, financial results, and variance reporting and analysis- Spearhead the annual and quarterly budgeting and forecasting processes for the opening of new warehouse(s);
Identify opportunities for performance improvement across the organization;
- Maintain knowledge and keep abreast of new investment regulations or policies; and,
Develop models that help with decision-making
Qualifications for Finance Officer- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field;
2-4 years of relevant experience in corporate finance, financial planning & analysis, investment banking, or other related fields;
- Strong working knowledge of Excel and financial modeling and knowledge in QuickBooks as necessary;
Excellent analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skill; and,
