We are looking for a Finance Manager to join our team!
The Role
The Finance Manager will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the accounting department, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, and maintaining compliance with regulations and accounting best practices. The successful candidate will also be responsible for budgeting, forecasting, and analyzing financial data to assist the company in making well-informed decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day operations of the accounting department and supervise the accounting specialists.
- Ensure accurate and timely recording of all financial transactions, including accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and general ledger entries.
- Prepare and review monthly financial statements and reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Oversee internal and external audits and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (e.g. PFRS/IFRS, BIR substantiation, SEC disclosures, PEZA, BOI, etc.)
- Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to improve efficiency, accuracy, and compliance.
- Monitor financial performance and provide strategic recommendations for improvement.
- Assist with tax planning, budgeting and forecasting processes.
- Liaise with other departments to resolve accounting-related issues and provide financial insight and guidance.
- Prepare budgeting and forecasting reports.
- Analyze financial data and create financial models for decision support.
- Report on financial performance and prepare for regular leadership reviews.
- Work closely with the general accounting team to ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Evaluate financial performance by comparing and analyzing actual results with plans and forecasts.
- Guide the cost analysis process by establishing and enforcing policies and procedures.
- Provide analysis of trends and forecasts and recommend actions for optimization.
- Identify and drive process improvements, including the creation of standard and ad-hoc reports, tools, and dashboards.
Ideal Profile
- Professional certification like CPA/CMA or similar, (MBA is a plus)
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Proven experience as a Financial Controller, Finance Manager, or similar role.
- In-depth knowledge of corporate finance and accounting principles, laws and best practices.
- Solid knowledge of financial analysis and forecasting.
- Proficient in MS Office (especially Excel) and financial management software.
- An analytical mind with a strategic ability.
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Candidates must be willing to report in Ortigas at least once to thrice a week.
