Job Summary:
The Finance Manager will be responsible for managing the financial activities of the organization. This includes budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and analysis. The ideal candidate will ensure that the company's financial practices are in line with statutory regulations and legislation. They will work closely with senior management to develop strategies and plans for the company's long-term financial goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Planning and Analysis:
Develop and manage annual budgets and forecasts.- Conduct financial analysis and modeling to support business decisions.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
Ensure accurate and timely reporting of financial results.- Oversee the preparation of financial statements in accordance with GAAP or IFRS.
Present financial reports to senior management, stakeholders, and board members.
Monitor and control the budget to ensure financial resources are used efficiently.- Analyze variances between actual and budgeted figures and provide explanations.
Cash Flow Management:- Monitor and manage cash flow to meet the company's financial obligations.
Forecast cash flow positions, related borrowing needs, and available funds for investment.Compliance and Risk Management:
Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and legislation.
- Manage and mitigate financial risks.
Coordinate with external auditors and regulatory authorities.Team Leadership:
Lead and manage the finance team.
- Provide coaching and mentoring to finance staff.
Promote continuous improvement in the financial processes and systems.Strategic Planning:
Contribute to strategic planning and development as a member of the senior management team.
- Provide financial input and advice on business activities and plans.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (Master's degree or CPA/CFA preferred).
Proven experience as a Finance Manager or similar role.- Strong knowledge of financial principles, practices, and regulations.
Proficiency in financial software and tools (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
