About Our Client
Our client is a boutique Malaysian property developer focused on high-end property development, elevating lifestyles through design and innovation. Their office is located in Bangsar.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage the Finance department, including accounts payable and receivable (AP/AR) processes.
- Lead financial planning and cash flow management for development projects.
- Conduct feasibility studies and develop financial projections.
- Manage credit control and ensure timely collection of receivables.
- Develop and implement efficient financial Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for projects and the company.
- Partner with business departments on financial aspects of development launches.
- Provide insightful accounting, finance, and tax expertise on commercial contracts, financial incentives
- Account for and process monthly revenue collection, vendor billings, staff claims and journal entries
- Prepare tax computations, coordinate filing of tax returns, process tax payments, manage withholding tax, etc
- Collaborate with the CFO to develop budgets and cashflow forecasts.
- Maintain accurate accounting records, including fixed assets, AP/AR, and project capital expenditures.
- Experienced with IFCA, MHW or any property billing and accounting software(s)
- Ensure timely and accurate month-end closing and management account reporting.
- Manage year-end closing and submission of financial statements for regulatory compliance and tax purposes.
- Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, and other professional advisors.
- Ensure adherence to the companys accounting policies, financial controls, and risk management framework.
- Manage other ad-hoc finance-related tasks as needed.
Requirements
- Candidate must possess at least a Degree in Finance/ Accountancy/ Banking or equivalent.
- At least 7 year(s) of working experience in Finance with good working knowledge of accounting (AP, AR and GL).
- Experience in the Real Estate/ Property Development Industry would be an advantage.
- Good knowledge on credit and financial analysis would be an advantage.
- Possess strong analytical skill and the ability to think strategically.
- Tech-savvy and familiar with IFCA software.
- Determined and adaptable with a positive working attitude.
- Independent but at the same time able to be a good team player.
- Strong multitasking and problem solving skills.
- Fluent in spoken and written English and Mandarin.
- Willing to travel when required.
