The Assistant Finance Manager is responsible for preparing comprehensive management reports, overseeing the budgeting process, and providing reliable financial forecasts. The FP&A Assistant Finance Manager collaborates with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate data analysis and strategic decision-making.
He/she also ensures that systems and procedures are properly documented and improved regularly for controls and efficiency.
- Budgeting, Forecasting and Financial Analysis
- Works closely with Finance Manager in executing the annual budgeting process and ensures that financial goals are align with the organization objectives
- Monitors budget performance, track variances, and recommend adjustments as needed.
- Assists in the preparation of Financial Statements forecasts including, but not limited to P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow
- Performs financial reviews/analysis on, service agreements, pricing and costing parameters and other projects and agreements and assess potential scenarios and their impact on financial performance.
- Recommends cost saving measures to lower expenditures, in alignment with the company's goals and programs
- Performs the needed financial analyses including cost-benefit analyses, make or buy decisions, lease or buy decisions and other analyses that will assist management in making sound financial decisions. This would include comparing operating programs, reviewing financial requests, and/or exploring alternative financing methods when needed
- Provides regular budget vs. actual expenditure reports to management and each Department Head for guidance and planning
2. Management Reporting
- Prepares, analyzes, and communicates accurately and in a timely manner the financial reports for the management such as, but not limited to the following: (1) financial statements (2) financial highlights (3) financial ratios (4) Profit and Loss Statements per Department and per Project
- Prepares the monthly operations report covering the results of the company's operation for the month, highlighting key activities and transactions during the period; comparing for the month (FTM) and year to date (YTD) reports against budget and last year, and explaining the variances
- Prepares other management reports and presentation materials, as assigned.
3. Systems and Procedures
- Assists in the establishment of new policies and procedures for existing processes that are still without any manuals, or for newly formed businesses and/or activities/processes as a result of business expansion or process improvements/automations. Ensures alignment of business policies and procedures within Filinvest Property Group
- Assists in set up of internal control on new or proposed business processes and procedure
- Participate in identification of business process flows and takes the lead in recommending internal control mechanism
- Provides periodic review of the systems and update the company manuals once approved and propose improvements or changes to the system that will facilitate ease of access in financial reports and thus supports management in making informed judgment
4. Administrative
- Supervises the day-to-day activities of accounting analysts and ensures that deliverables are met
- Receives and logs-in all incoming documents to Finance.
- Maintains the cleanliness and security of all files and documents, especially confidential ones, equipment and its peripherals, and the Finance office as a whole.
- Requests for the office supplies requirements of Finance team. Monitor, control and safekeep supplies.
- Ensures all documents are properly safely kept and filed accordingly. Designing a filing system for easy retrieval of documents
- Checks and arranges all documents for Finance Manager's signature and return or advise owners of the documents once signed.
- Performs other functions that may be assigned from time to time
Job Requirements::
- Bachelors Degree in Accountancy
- Must be CPA
- At least 5 years of related work experience in general accounting/ financial reporting/management reporting/ budget reporting in a corporate set-up
- Has experience in preparing management reports, financial statements and budget reports.
