This position manages the day-to-day Finance Operations in the Southeast Asia region. Work in partnership with the Finance Director to ensure proper implementation of finance policies and procedures and effective management of company financials. Work closely with the Finance specialized functions in supporting operations leaders and ensuring local and regional compliance. Responsible for managing budgeting and forecasting, capital planning, fixed asset administration, general accounting, and cash flow management.
Essential Responsibilities, Accountabilities & Results
- Overall management of end-of-the-month closing procedures. Monitor the progress of recording of financial transactions, bank and revenue reconciliation, and ensure all the reports will be prepared in an accurate, professional, and timely manner
- Manages annual budget process using global guidelines that are adhered to and present information in standard Finance formats
- Provides necessary reports/information to Finance Leadership on financial performance and plans/forecasts in the Asia region
- Consolidates and analyzes financial and non-financial data from various internal sources (budgets, income statements, production systems, data warehouses, etc.), uses financial modeling to evaluate impacts of various strategic and operational activities, and identifies risks and opportunities in achieving plan
- Manages completion of the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting packets for the Asia region Senior Management
- Works closely with other functional finance teams in supporting annual audits and driving compliance
- Manages cash flow by improving the accounts receivable collection
- Oversees the daily operations of the accounting and finance team
- Supports the broader organization on special projects, ad-hoc analyses, and requests as needed
- Recommends and implements system/process improvements to enhance finance and accounting function
- Limited travel may occasionally be required ( 10%)
Educational & Experience Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting MBA preferred
- Certified Public Accountant
- 5-10 Years of Finance Experience, preferably in Finance Operations
- Finance business partnership experience is required
- Highly analytical with a strong business sense
- Ability to generate business insights
- Demonstrated ability to build and lead high-performing teams and foster a collaborative work culture
- Strong change management experience and functional transformation experience
