The Finance Assistant of Victor Consunji Development Corporation will be responsible for processing and preparing financial reports. Creates, validates, and allocates financial transactions. In addition, the Finance Assistant will be performing routine calculations to produce analyses and reports as requested by the Chief Finance Officer. Thus, review and adhere to department budgets, audit financial statements, and information, ensure all calculations and data entries are correct and keep track of the financial transactions receivable and payable accounts.
- Detailed Duties and Responsibilities:
Process and prepare financial and business forms to check account balances, facilitate purchases, etc.
- Perform routine calculations to produce analyses and reports as requested by the finance director
Help oversee and manage individual accounts.- Create, send and follow up invoices
Review and adhere to department budgets
- Collect and enter data for various financial spreadsheets
Review and audit financial statements and reports, ensure all calculations and data entries are correct.- Reconcile any discrepancies or errors identified by conversing with employees and clients
Report any troubling discoveries or suspicion of wrongdoing to the proper authorities
- Collect information for and prepare payroll payments for employees
Assist financial director in creating financial reports regularly- Adhere to the company's or organization's financial policies and procedure
Assisting with the financial reporting to managers and senior executives
- Suggest changes or improvements increase accuracy, efficiency, and cost reductions
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
- Work experience as a Finance Assistant or similar role
Advanced MS Excel skills (creating spreadsheets and using financial functions)- Familiarity with accounting software
Strong knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting procedures
- Detail-oriented with an ability to spot numerical errors
Top of the line math abilities Great organizational skills
- Good knowledge of accounting practices
Excellent time management skills- Ability to follow company policies
Ability to work independently and on a team
