Finance Assistant

Job Description

• Accounts Payable/Receivable: Manage and process invoices, payments, and receipts through Xero, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.


• Bank Reconciliation: Perform regular bank reconciliations, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded and discrepancies resolved.


• Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of financial reports, including monthly management accounts, cash flow forecasts, and budget vs. actual analyses.


• Data Entry: Maintain accurate financial records in Xero, ensuring all transactions are correctly categorized and documented.


• Client and Supplier Liaison: Communicate with clients and suppliers regarding invoicing, payments, and account queries.


• Assistance with Audits: Support the finance team during audits by preparing necessary documentation and ensuring compliance with financial regulations.


• Process Improvement: Identify areas for process improvement within the finance function and assist in the implementation of best practices.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Finance Assistant or similar role.


• Proficiency in Xero accounting software is essential.


• Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.


• Excellent numerical skills and attention to detail.


• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.


• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.


• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
