Job Description

Job Title : FINANCE & ACCOUNTING MANAGER
  • Reports to : GENERAL MANAGER
  • Qualifications:

  • Certified Public Accountant

  • With at least 10 year experience in the same capacity preferably in the same industry

  • With experience in all areas of accounting and finance
  • Management Competencies:

  • High Values & Ethics

  • Proficient in oral and written communication

  • Effective in problem solving and decision making

  • Effective in management skills (time, planning and organizing)

  • Effective in leading a team, ability to coach and train

  • Effective records management skills

  • Excellent numerical skills
  • Technical Competencies:

  • Computer literate and familiar on operation and application of the following programs:

    a. MS Word

    b. MS Excel

    c. MS PowerPoint

    d. Accounting/ERP Software System

  • Possess the following skills

    a. Financial Management Skills

    b. Business Knowledge

    c. Contract Management
  • Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Directs, manages and ensures the performance of the Accounting and Finance Departments, and is thus accountable for the team's performance and output;

  • Values the confidentiality and accountability of his/her department in penalties;

  • Provide leadership to Finance & Accounting Managers, Officers and Staff to ensure efficient use of human resources by:

    Establishing and maintaining internal controls to ensure confidentiality and compliance with financial and human resources policies and procedures;

    Periodically evaluating departmental organization, performance, and providing training and development opportunities for Officers and Staff;

    Managing the maintenance and upgrade of financial, payroll and human resources information systems;

    Oversees all finance and accounting procedures and systems used by the Company and its affiliates;

    Providing leadership by delegating tasks, responding to staff inquiries and providing overall direction to Division, Section and Unit employees.

  • Supervises, directs and oversees all of the financial activities, to include the preparation of current financial reports, analysis and forecasts for future business growth and expansions;

  • Oversees all financial activities across all departments, ensuring that each department stays within its budget and validating/auditing all departments expenses;

  • Ensures full automation and implementation of Acumatica, as well as the development of an effective accounting/finance system, management of the payroll system, and the maintenance of accurate and up-to-date financial policies and records;

  • Supports the Management in the preparation of budgets and financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, tax returns and reports for government regulatory agencies;

  • Establishes project accounting by strictly monitoring and controlling disbursements within budgetary allocations by implementing cost-effective procedures and ensure proper validation/audit from request to actual disbursement;

  • Monitor all credit facilities and ensure proper handling and compliance of all accounts/clients/affiliates;

  • Reviews reports, analyzes and compares projected revenue and income to actual data, and offers ways to improve the planning and operations process; as a result, the organization develops or maintains cost-saving strategies and initiatives;

  • Helps the company and its affiliates achieve its goals by regularly meeting with the top management to keep them informed, offer assistance on financial strategy, and make suggestions;

  • Ensures that the company and its affiliates meet its financial and legal obligations and is in full compliance with all government policies, procedures, and regulations;

  • Review all legal documents, including the company's and its affiliate's contracts and agreements, and commit to doing so;

  • Provide comptrollership functions in order to ensure finances are managed according to policies and procedures; generally accepted accounting principles and international financial reporting standards;

  • Ensure QMS related to the position will be implemented and strictly monitored;

  • Perform other task as may be instructed from time to time

    Job Type: Full-time

    Pay: From Php80,000.00 per month

  • Quezon City: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)
