Ledger Management & Cost Allocation:

• Ensure correct costs are recorded in the ledger for utilities, vehicles, legal expenses, maintenance, rent (service charges, levies), and other expenses.
  
• Review cost lines to ensure accurate allocation to the correct sites across a portfolio of 400 sites.
  
• Capture and record costs appropriately each month, adhering to financial reporting deadlines.
  

Prepayments, Accruals, Debits & Credits:

• Maintain a high level of understanding of prepayments and accruals, and how they reflect in the P&L and balance sheet.
  
• Manage debits and credits accurately to ensure the integrity of financial statements.
  

Cost Analysis & Anomalies:

• Analyze cost data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
  
• Investigate and resolve anomalies in cost reporting, ensuring discrepancies are escalated and resolved efficiently.
  

Financial Reporting & Site Management:

• Provide timely and accurate financial reporting for all 400 sites, ensuring costs are tracked and reviewed monthly.
  
• Support financial decision-making by preparing and submitting reports that highlight key cost drivers and areas for improvement.
  

Stakeholder Collaboration:

• Collaborate closely with operations teams, finance managers, and senior management to ensure effective cost management.
  
• Support finance teams in implementing cost controls and improving P&L accuracy for each site.
  

Day-to-Day Finance Support:

• Maintain a strong understanding of day-to-day financial operations related to cost management within the business.
  
• Ensure financial processes are followed, and promptly address any risks or opportunities.
  

Requirements

Qualifications Needed

Skills:

• Strong attention to detail.
  
• Ability to take a high-level approach while maintaining a focus on details.
  
• Proficient IT skills (Excel-preferably at an advanced level, and Oracle).
  
• Team player, willing to learn and drive initiatives forward.
  
• Good knowledge and understanding of accounting standards and processes.
  

Experience:

• Minimum of 2 years experience in accounting, preferably with a property management background.
  
• Graduate of accounting, finance, economics, banking, or a related degree (preferably BS Accountancy).
  
• Experience using Oracle (preferred).
  
• Essential multi-site experience.
  
• Demonstrable skills in maintaining tight financial control.
