Job Summary:
The Technician is responsible for the operation, upkeep and maintenance of the facilities and utilities equipment, providing technical services for and on behalf of the facilities & engineering division to its internal and external customers in the following areas but not limited to electrical, mechanical, medical gas, plumbing & sanitary, and fabrication works. As such, conducts preventive maintenance activities according to set standards, troubleshoots facilities and utilities equipment/ system problems, identifies required corrective maintenance activities, do the actual repair, installation, and/or replacement works using appropriate and industry-standard tools and instrumentations, assists the Facilities Engineer/ Supervisor in the planning, implementation and execution of the 52-Wk PMS, ensures accomplishment of required log sheets, checklists, service reports and other needed documentations, ensures correct use and safe-keeping of basic, power and other engineering tools and instrumentations.
Leads the technicians in achieving set goals and objective of the Facilities Engineering Department. Communicates all facilities maintenance concerns/issues encountered to the Facilities Engineers, Facilities Supervisors and/or Managers for proper resolution.
Job Descriptions:
- Graduate of any Engineering course Mechanical, Electrical or related fields or a graduate of related technical vocational course.
- With at least two (2) years of relevant work experience in repair and maintenance.
- Can read and interpret technical diagrams of equipment.
- Hospital or hotel experience is an advantage.
- Has a particularly good sense of customer service.
- Must be knowledgeable on the basic Microsoft Office applications.
- Effective communication skills. Proficiency in the Visayan dialect and/or Tagalog is required; ability to communicate in English is an advantage.
