Job Summary:The Facilities Management Assistant is responsible for supporting the Facilities Management Supervisor in the upkeep of office infrastructure, conducting minor technical repairs, and maintaining cleanliness and organization of storage areas. This role requires strong collaboration with various internal departments and excellent technical skills.
- Key Result Area 1: Facilities Maintenance
Assist in the routine maintenance and repair of office equipment, furniture, and fixtures, ensuring alignment with the organization's standards and safety regulations.- Conduct regular inspections of the facilities to identify potential issues and ensure optimal condition.
Collaborate with the Facilities Management Supervisor in the planning and execution of major repair and maintenance projects.
- Key Result Area 2: Technical Repairs and Maintenance
Conduct minor technical repairs and maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs, minor touch-ups to paintwork, and basic furniture repairs.
- Provide support in maintaining HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems, leveraging vocational training in these areas.
Ensure all repair and maintenance tasks are performed in accordance with safety regulations and standards.
- Key Result Area 3: Space Management and Cleanliness
Maintain cleanliness and organization of storage areas and other facilities, ensuring they are kept safe and well-organized.- Assist in the management of waste disposal and recycling processes in accordance with environmental regulations.
Participate in the planning and execution of major cleaning and organization projects.
- Key Result Area 4: Safety Compliance and Physical Labor
Adhere to and help enforce safety regulations and procedures to maintain a safe working environment. Perform physically demanding tasks as required, including moving equipment or furniture, cleaning, and other manual duties.
- Participate in safety training and awareness programs to ensure understanding and compliance with safety standards.
Minimum: High school diploma or equivalent.- Preferred: Technical vocational training in HVAC, electrical systems, or plumbing.
Comprehensive understanding of safety regulations and procedures.
Previous experience in facilities maintenance, technical repairs, and space management would be advantageous but not required.
- Professional License in a related field is preferred.
