Job Purpose
The role is integral in ensuring the continuous upkeep of facilities and equipment to optimize operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, and workplace safety. It entails providing essential support in conducting facility evaluations, verifying the operational integrity of equipment, and ensuring strict adherence to safety protocols, risk management procedures, and hazard mitigation standards.
Main Duties
Facility Maintenance:
- Maintenance Coordination Assistance: Provide essential support in coordinating maintenance programs to ensure the seamless functionality of kitchen facilities, specifically in the areas of civil and architectural, plumbing, electrical, and HVAC components.
Equipment Maintenance:
- Maintenance Coordination Assistance: Maintains and updates equipment records, creates maintenance schedules, monitors equipment safety, and performs routine inspections. Coordinates repairs, trains staff on equipment use and collaborates with procurement for sourcing. Ensures compliance with industry standards and assists in developing safety protocols.
Vendor Relations Support:
- Assist in managing relationships with maintenance contractors and service providers to ensure timely and effective resolution of maintenance issues.
- Assist in expanding the pool of service providers, ensuring they deliver quality service, have sufficient manpower, and are financially stable.
Budget Collaboration:
- Collaborate in the development and management of budgets for facility maintenance, optimizing costs while ensuring the quality and reliability of maintenance services.
Emergency Preparedness:
- Assist in establishing protocols and procedures for emergency response and maintenance-related incidents to minimize downtime and ensure a safe working environment.
Other duties and tasks may be assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
- Preferably a licensed Mechanical and Electrical engineer with experience in maintaining kitchen equipment and basic knowledge of civil and engineering works.
- At least 3 years of related experience.
