Responsibilities:- Technical Drawings: Create detailed fabrication drawings, including plans, elevations, sections, and details, using CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit, etc.).
Material Selection:
Research and recommend suitable materials for fabrication based on design aesthetics, durability, cost-effectiveness, and sustainability.Construction Techniques:
Understand and apply knowledge of construction techniques, joinery methods, and assembly processes relevant to fabrication projects.Quality Control: Conduct thorough reviews and checks of fabrication drawings to ensure accuracy, compliance with standards, and feasibility for fabrication and installation.
- Collaboration: Work closely with fabrication teams, suppliers, and contractors to coordinate project requirements, resolve design issues, and ensure smooth project execution.
Documentation:
Maintain organized documentation of design revisions, approvals, and project communications to track progress and ensure project accountability.Innovation and Improvement:
Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in fabrication design to contribute innovative ideas and enhance project outcomes.Education:
Bachelor's degree in Architecture.Experience:
3-5 years of experience in architectural fabrication.Technical Skills: Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit, etc.) . Experience with 3D modeling software (SketchUp, Rhino, etc.) is a plus.
