DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES- Welcome guests to the restaurant, seat them at appropriate tables, and ensure their comfort
Manage reservations and ensure tables are set up and ready for service- Oversee the service staff, ensuring they are meeting service standards and provide training when necessary
Provide guests with menu recommendations, explain specials and answer questions about food and drink items
- Take orders from guests, enter them accurately into the POS system and ensure they are delivered to the kitchen promptly
Handle cash and credit card transactions, ensuring accuracy and adherence to established cash handling procedures- Reconcile daily cash receipts and prepare deposits for accounting department
Maintain a clean and organized work area and ensure the restaurant is set up for service each day
- Manage guest complaints in a professional and timely manner
* Attend regular staff meetings and provide input on operational improvements
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
