QUALIFICATIONS:
Proven experience as an Executive Chef specializing in Indian cuisine, preferably in a high-volume restaurant or hotel setting.
In-depth knowledge of Indian spices, flavors, and cooking techniques.
Strong leadership and organizational skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse culinary team.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Culinary degree or equivalent certification preferred.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Menu Development:
Develop and curate an extensive menu featuring a variety of traditional and contemporary Indian dishes.
Introduce seasonal menus and unique specials to showcase creativity and freshness.
- Culinary Operations:
Oversee all aspects of kitchen operations including food preparation, cooking, and plating.
Ensure adherence to standardized recipes, portion sizes, and quality standards.
- Staff Management:
Lead and mentor kitchen staff, providing training and guidance in Indian culinary techniques.
Schedule kitchen staff shifts, manage payroll, and enforce kitchen hygiene and safety protocols.
- Quality Control:
Maintain high standards of food quality, taste, and presentation.
Conduct regular tastings and inspections to uphold consistency and excellence.
- Inventory and Cost Management:
Manage inventory levels and order supplies to meet demand while minimizing waste.
Monitor food costs and implement cost-saving strategies without compromising quality.
- Customer Relations:
Collaborate with management to address customer feedback and refine menu offerings.
Interact with guests to promote the culinary vision and provide an exceptional dining experience.
- Compliance and Hygiene:
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and sanitation practices.
Uphold cleanliness standards and oversee equipment maintenance.
- Culinary Trends and Innovation:
Stay updated with culinary trends, techniques, and ingredients in Indian cuisine.
