Equipment and Material Record Specialist (6 MONTHS PROJECT BASED)We are seeking an experienced Equipment and Material Record Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will create and maintain accurate and up-to-date Material Master Records (MMRs) for equipment and materials across Shell US Gulf Coast assets. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical background, excellent attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., engineering, logistics, business administration).- Experience in Oil and Gas, Petro Chemical, and LNG is a plus but not required
3-5 years of experience in equipment or material record management, data analysis, or related field.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Familiarity with database management systems (e.g., SAP ERP).- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently.
Excellent English communication skills- Excellent organizational skills.
Willing to work in a night shift
- Work setup is hybrid WFH most of the time but will be required to report on-site if needed or requested by the client.
Conduct a thorough analysis of historical data for materials, equipment, and Bill of Materials (BOM) to identify hierarchies and relationships, check information completeness, and identify gaps.
- Identify and document any discrepancies or inaccuracies in the data.
Create MMRs for equipment and materials identified in the maintenance strategies by the project manager for each of the assets.- Ensure standardization of MMRs across all assets.
Track the cost value of each MMR created.
- Reviewing existing MMRs to avoid duplication.
Look for online technical material and equipment information for MMR creation.- Coordinating with vendors for technical material and equipment information for MMR creation.
Coordinate with IMA (Internal Materials Administrator) for onsite and technical material and equipment information for MMR creation.
- Prepare weekly progress reports to track project progress, including:
Report on the number of equipment, materials, and Bill of Materials (BOMs) reviewed against the project's weekly targets, highlighting any variances or deviations.- Track the number of Material Master Records (MMRs) created each week and compare it to the project's target, identifying any gaps or discrepancies.
Provide an update on the backlog of MMRs waiting to be created or reviewed, including any outstanding tasks or information required to complete the process.
- Document the number of MMRs that cannot be created due to unavailable information or other issues, including any efforts made to resolve these issues and recover the backlog.
