Responsibilities Improvements on productivity, delivery, and quality by fabricating poke yoke, jigs and fixtures, jigs and fixtures, and additional long-life design.
- Execute, evaluate, and continuously ensure the implementation of formulated containment, corrective, and preventive actions to solve any issue related to the process to avoid rework or scrappage.
Assist in all necessary efforts to achieve on-time delivery and to maintain quality standards.- Consolidate issues gathered during BOM & SPEC review and initial trial run (F10 build)
Assist design engineers on manufacturability and design issues.
- Implement process instruction raised by design engineers.
Document BOM discrepancies, specification concerns and manufacturability issues on the PLOG system.- Provide process instruction/ rework instruction.
Qualify the jigs and fixtures fabricated by in-house and outside fabrication
- Generate root cause analysis & development plan of process defects to improve quality, reliability, and manufacturing cost
Collaborate with fabrication on jigs and fixtures design to prevent assembly process issues in production.- Initiate continuous improvement projects to continuously enhance quality, productivity, & reliability
Develop the design of the experiment (DOE) and conduct it for process and product enhancement and optimization.
- Develop, evaluate, and improve manufacturing methods using knowledge of product design, fabrication processes, tooling, and production equipment capabilities.
Prepare a build readiness checklist, ensuring all deliverables are complete prior to the sample build.
- Send the Magnetics and Cables Matrix to the Magnetics and Cables NPI-Team in advance, right after the kick-off meeting.
Ensure requirements such as BOM, specs, jigs, and fixes, RM completion such as BOM, specs, coordination for process and test capabilities, standard time, and Oracle routing are complete prior to the NPI build.- Provide a build stage to the NPI-M&C Team per part number for production reference.
Monitor the NPI project and coordinate with the respective group whenever issues arise that will affect the customer's required delivery date.
- Facilitate NPI mass production transfer for each part number per model and check the requirements such as JIRA closure, WIS and JAFS (Test and Process), build report, and quality issue prior to transfer.
To ensure the completion of the build report at every stage, complete reviews and signatories by the respective group.
