Drilling Engineering, Well Control and Other Principles Application
Provides a more comprehensive management of the Drilling and
Workover program analysis
Promotes an atmosphere of Teamwork among the drilling
engineers, 3 rd party personnel, Integrated Subsurface Divisions,
FOM, service providers and other disciplines to ensure that wells are
planned and engineered in a manner that focuses in meeting the
objectives of the Reservoir, Production and Geological Groups as set
forth in the basis of design.
Ensures alignment and commitment of all relevant technical teams
for the creation of efficient program towards successful attainment
of the objectives
Manages the technical and engineering support of all relevant
technical groups and 3 rd party personnel in collaboration with the
contract SPOCs to ensure efficient program creation.
Can provide immediate recommendation on any matters that
requires immediate attention and informs superiors accordingly.
Acts as one of the Group's Representative on the discussion of any
issues or concerns of the various internal stakeholders
Responsible in ensuring that the planning is conducted in the best
interest of the Company.

Well Planning and Risk Management
Conducts a more in-depth and proactive analysis in the different
stages of the program prior execution
Leads the Drilling engineers in conducting Risk Analysis to identify
potential downhole problems then creates and recommends new
concepts to resolve same .
Collaborates extensively with superiors and subordinates all
identified and potential risks and generate mitigating measures

Review of current drilling practices and methodologies including all tools
and equipment used in the drilling operation
Collaborates with the Technical and Operations Groups in the
review of a particular activity that has significant contribution to the
delay or downtime of the operation which requires improvement.
Provides assistance to the Technical Group in the identification of
the key factors that must be considered in the conduct of technical
investigation.
Validates the result of the technical investigation including the
recommendations for improvement
Reviews the Memorandum of Change to document such revision in
the standard practice.

Quality Control of Drilling Tools, Consumables and Other Drilling
Equipment

Ensures that the program considers optimum use of available
resources to reduce the cost of inventory
Ensures that all cost to be incurred in the daily basis are captured in
the budget
Ensures the efficient allocation and requirement of all rented tools
and equipment, including 3 rd party personnel to minimize cost

Reporting and Communication
Collaborates with Operations on any issues or concerns that
requires immediate attention or decision
Conduct extensive review and analysis after the completion of each
well to determine all areas for improvement
Ensures stakeholders are updated on drilling and workover program
development timeline
Ensures timely submission of Notice of Intention to Drill and End-of-
Well Reports to Department

HSE Compliance
Applies in-depth knowledge on all specialized drilling services (3rd
parties) and other engineering principles in the drilling and
workover program
Ensures that proper Well Control are considered during the planning
stage
Strict adherence to Company HSE policies and promotes the culture
of awareness and behavior to all site personnel by ensuring the
conduct of all safety and emergency drills according to the program

Work Direction, Mentoring and Coaching
Provides continuous guidance and mentors the assigned Drilling
Engineers in all aspects of the technical works to enhance the
development and growth in his line of work and at the same time
promote efficiency and avoid reworks.
Provides work direction and personal encouragement to the Drilling
Engineer to boost morale and growth with the company and
promote harmonious working relationship
Ensures that all drilling personnel have a common understanding
and buy-in towards the successful achievement of the program
objectives.

Data Management and Review
In-depth ability to collect and analyze information, problem-solve,
and make decisions.
Collaborates intensely with Superiors for any changes in the
program and gives opinions/suggestions upon careful evaluation

General Responsibilities

Executes health, security, environmental and safety rules and regulations of the company;
Practices recommended behaviors that adhere to the core values of the company;
Implements and complies with company rules and policies; and
Performs other related duties that may be assigned (by superiors) from time to time.
