This includes laying out wiring routes, drilling holes, and securing wiring.- Maintenance: Inspect electrical systems, components, and equipment to identify issues and perform preventive maintenance. This may involve testing circuits, replacing worn or faulty parts, and troubleshooting electrical problems.
Repair: Diagnose and repair electrical malfunctions in wiring, circuits, and equipment. This could include replacing damaged wiring, fixing circuit breakers, and repairing electrical appliances.
- Compliance: Ensure all electrical work complies with relevant codes, regulations, and safety standards. This includes obtaining necessary permits, following safety protocols, and documenting work performed.
Troubleshooting: Identify the cause of electrical problems and develop effective solutions to resolve issues. This requires strong problem-solving skills and knowledge of electrical systems.
High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an apprenticeship program or vocational training in electrical work is preferred.- Proven experience as an electrician.
