About the Role:
To provide electrical design drawings and support the electrical design team to deliver electrical designs to the highest quality. The draftsperson will need to ensure they meet IEC standards and drafting standards. The role is responsible for creating detailed electrical drawings that can be used by manufacturing to build electrical panels.
Note: This is a fully remote role. Candidate should be currently residing in the Philippines. Shift schedule is 6am to 3pm Monday to Friday.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Contributing to professional drafting services for the electrical design of MINETEK products, working with our team of Designers and Engineers
- Producing accurate and timely technical drawings and 3D designs in accordance with customer expectations
- Create detailed electrical schematics, layouts, and diagrams based on project requirements.
- Electrical schematics require drawings to be done with IEC component symbols and to be detailed enough for manufacture.
- Drafting electrical drawings based on client standards
- Manage and maintain drawing records and revisions to ensure all documents are up-to-date and accessible
- Understand IEC61439 and able to design to it.
- Perform thorough checks on drawings to ensure accuracy and compliance with specifications.
- Create detailed bill of materials
- Create detailed and accurate 2D layout drawings. These include external front view, internal front view, side view, gland plate details, cut out profiles and busbar details.
- Create 3D layout drawings from the 2D layouts. This is to be done in E-plan, solid works or inventor. This will include drill patterns and cut outs.
- Create detailed manufacture drawings of busbar with isometrics view for laser cutting machines
- Electrical drawings to be completed in AutoCAD electrical or E-plan.
- Termination drawings and cable runs to be completed for manufacturing
About You:
- Certification, training and proven experience as a design and drafting Engineer
- 5+ years AutoCad electrical experience and capabilities in the use of E-Plan software
- A degree of familiarity with Australian and Tier 1 Mining Standards
- A comprehensive understanding of engineering concepts, and experience drafting of electrical systems.
- A thorough understanding of electrical product manuals and specifications to be able to implement in electrical drawings
- Ability to ensure drawings are completed accurately, on time, and precisely to the customers specifications
- Effective communication skills with communication in English
- Experience with drafting in AutoCad electrical for 2D schematics
- Experience with drafting in E-plan/Inventor to generate electrical schematics and detailed 3D models.
- Experience with drafting busbar designs that can be used for manufacturing.
- High level experience in processing and programming 3D Models, with a strong attention to detail and accuracy PERFORMANCE EXPECTATION
- Must have own working desktop/laptop equipment
