Job Summary
The additional designer will enhance the engineering team's capacity to meet the growing demand from awarded projects and to develop the project pipeline. This electrical designer role, within the Engineering and Design Department, will support the creation of conceptual plans, material estimates, and solution development. The position is essential in providing steady support to help maintain the Engineering Department's efficiency in project production.
Job Description
- The design engineer shall lead the development of all design requirements and execute project work in accordance with best international and industry-accepted practices within the approved timeframe and activity plans.
- The design engineer shall work on engineering assignments that involve the preparation of calculations, plans, drawings, technical designs and specifications, models, and reports all with limited supervision of an experienced engineer. The Engineer shall lead the preparation of documents, catalogs, and other pertinent references that are required in the performance of the design and engineering functions.
- The design engineer shall attend regular meetings to coordinate with engineers, clients, and others during the schematic, design development, and construction stages of existing or future engineering projects.
- Also, part of the engineer's fieldwork is to conduct field surveys and analysis of maps, plans, graphs, diagrams, and other data to identify and correct potential power system problems and solutions.
- The Design Engineer must be able to carry out investigations and analyses to support the development of technical solutions and propose approaches to solve complex problems encountered. The Engineer may also be required to liaise with specialists and consultants whenever appropriate to obtain assistance and technical advice.
Qualifications
- Candidate must have a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering and a PRC License for REE.
- At least three (2) years experience in construction, engineering consultancy, or related field.
- Highly proficient in the use of AutoCAD and other CAD Software.
- Adept in the use of computer applications particularly Microsoft Office - MS Excel, MS Word, and Powerpoint.
- Knowledgeable with the Philippine Electrical Code, NEC, and other relevant standards.
- Candidate must have extensive experience with the design of power systems, which covers the design of low voltage to medium voltage systems and power systems analysis.
- Must be able to analyze construction drawings and specifications
- Maintain a sound theoretical approach to the application of technology
- Knowledge of PV Solar PV Technology is an advantage.
- Must be able to decide and make judgments that are evidence-based to problem-solving and he/she must be able to operate reliably, independently, and competently in the highest discipline.

- Strong analytical skills and good engineering judgment
