Employment type: Full-time
Shift: Early Shift, 9am to 6pm (NZ time) - Flexible start and finish times.
Work setup: WFH or Onsite (Makati/Angeles/Cebu City)

Connecting the Dots: Responsibilities That Spark Innovation and Excellence
  • Design and develop electrical systems using Eplan for industrial projects, including control panels, power distribution, and instrumentation.
  • Prepare detailed electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and layout drawings in line with Electro's current design standards.
  • Perform load calculations, cable sizing, and component selection based on project requirements.
  • Collaborate with project managers, mechanical engineers, and site teams to ensure seamless integration of electrical designs into overall project execution.
  • Work closely with AI engineers and follow directions from Electro's managing director to automate and streamline design document processes using AI technology.
  • Collaborate remotely with Electro's senior design engineer to maintain consistency and quality in design work, ensuring alignment with previous project standards.
  • Ensure designs comply with relevant electrical standards, such as NZS3000:2007 and AS / NZS 3008.1.2:2010.
  • Utilize Eplan P8 macros and API runtime to optimize design workflows.
  • Support the procurement of electrical components by providing technical specifications and ensuring compatibility with the design.
  • Provide technical support during the installation, commissioning, and testing phases of projects.
  • Maintain thorough documentation of designs, modifications, and project progress in accordance with company standards.
  • Participate in internal and external design reviews, incorporating feedback and ensuring all client requirements are met.
  • Identify and troubleshoot design issues and propose efficient solutions.
  • Stay up to date with the latest industry trends and technologies related to electrical design and Eplan advancements.

Requirements

Fuse Knowledge with Action: The Skills and Experience We Need to Power the Future

  • Experience: 5+ years of electrical design engineering experience in industrial projects, particularly within the water/wastewater treatment sector.
  • Software Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in Eplan software for electrical design and schematic creation.
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of electrical engineering principles, including power distribution, control systems, instrumentation, and safety systems.
  • Automation & Streamlining: Experience working with AI engineers and senior leadership to develop automation solutions and streamline design processes.
  • Eplan P8 & API: Proficiency with Eplan P8 macros and API runtime.
  • Collaboration: Ability to work remotely with senior engineers and collaborate effectively across multiple teams.
  • Standards Compliance: Familiarity with relevant electrical standards, such as NZS3000:2007 and AS / NZS 3008.1.2:2010.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with a proactive approach to resolving electrical system issues.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy and thoroughness in design and documentation.
  • Project Management: Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks while meeting deadlines and maintaining high-quality work.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Certifications: Relevant industry certifications or professional memberships (preferred but not mandatory).

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with other design tools such as AutoCAD Electrical or SolidWorks Electrical.
  • Knowledge of industrial control systems, PLCs, and SCADA systems.
  • Familiarity with Rockwell, Schneider, or Siemens hardware and software.
  • Experience in site supervision or hands-on experience with installation and commissioning.
