The Electrical design BIM engineer is someone who is responsible for designing, creating and maintaining 3D models of the physical spaces that will be built. These models are used as a reference point throughout the construction process, allowing everyone involved to see exactly what needs to be done at any given time. Building information models (BIM) are virtual files used to aid decision-making during the building process.
Responsible for Electrical, Extra Low Voltage (ELV), Lift and Escalators (L&E) Engineering services for the projects from concept stage, design development, contract documentation, authority submissions, site administration to project completion.
- Perform electrical load calculation on load demand, fault level and voltage drop.
Perform capacity sizing for transformer, circuit breaker, busduct and submain cables.- Perform plant room and riser sizing through layout arrangement on the design selected equipment size.
Conduct technical discussion on common design problems.
- Responsible to participate and support the Company's SHEQ within their scope of duties.
Conversant in BIM software and perform BIM Modelling for specific design discipline.- Perform Bill of Quantity information extraction from the BIM model
Perform clash detection and shift service routing or location to avoid clashes.
- Ensure models / drawings accuracy based on BIM standards and BIM project workflow criteria / checklist.
Ensure all productions are completed on schedule or in a timely manner.- Report regularly to Project Director / Manager / Engineer on the progress of work.
Ensure all exported information are recorded in the correct directory.
- Perform QAQC on modelled elements to ensure quality.
Review the shop drawings during construction with Level Of Detail (LOD) 400 or higher to maintain the design intent developed in the design stage.
- What we'll love about you:
Recognised Degree in Electrical Engineering.- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in industry designing electrical systems.
Preferably basic knowledge and understanding of Extra Low Voltage (ELV) systems such as CCTV, Evacuation Voice Communication, access control systems, adaptive control and network communication systems.
- Preferably basic knowledge and understanding of Lift and Escalators (L&E) systems such as lift traffic analysis, simplex control, group control, destination control.
Preferably work experience in Singapore and understand Singapore Code of Practice and Authority Requirements
